Hope you all had a good festive holiday and the New Year has started well.

This year, 2012 sees ‘And Finally…Phil Collins’ create a new show based on Phil’s ‘Both Sides Tour’ and was premièred at the Tivoli Theatre, Wimborne, Dorset on Friday 6th January.  What a night it turned out to be!  Once the house lights were turned down and Pete (our Phil) appeared on stage, a fantastic round of applause filled the room. With all but a few seats sold out, such a warm welcome made us feel at home and help ease those first night nerves.
The new songs and running order of established Phil hits were rapturously received; especially popular seemed to be two classic soul songs introduced, ‘Get Ready’ & ‘My Girl’.
Also providing a surprise were the special backdrop and props, developed exclusively for this show to revive the nature of Phil’s original Tour.

With the first half of show being greeted so enthusiastically by the audience, during the interval, Charlie North-Lewis, the Theatre General Manager asked us to perform a repeat show later in the year.  Overwhelmed, we instantly agreed a return date of Saturday 15th December.
With an early get-in to the theatre (9:00am) a special mention should be given to Theatre Production Manager, Kyle Best for all his help and advice on lighting / stage layout etc.  So much work and effort goes into a production like ours, and without the behind-the-scene support of dedicated theatre staff, such shows could not be possible.

On a sad note, we had to announce that Dorset’s Steve Peck (our dep Bass Player), received news before Christmas of the loss of his son-in-law during active service in Afghanistan.  After the show a collection was made and a sum of £528.49 was raised on behalf of ‘Help for Heroes’.
Steve and his family have asked us to thank all those who contributed; a receipt will be placed in the Tivoli Theatre and on our web site as soon as we receive it.

The following night a similar greeting was given to us by the audience at the Brewhouse, Taunton, Somerset, many of whom we met and chatted with in the bar after the show.

We thank both audiences for the lovely comments and encouragement given including photos sent to us.  Hope you enjoy the DVD’s, CD’s purchased and may the Tee shirts and caps keep you warm.

So with two such terrific shows under our belt, it will be hard to repeat, but we shall do our best as always to pay respect to the music of Phil Collins and deliver a performance, as close as we can, to enable you experience the atmosphere of a live Phil Collins show.

Hope to see you soon
