Just a short summary on our show at the Artrix in June.
Pete our singer was especially anxious this night as it was his first time to play piano and sing unaccompanied ever during a show. There were many references made by Pete to ‘tight pants’ during the evening… and if you were there you’ll understand. Another milestone is that it was exactly a year ago Pete made his first performance with us at the Artrix. This year had his Family Fan Club in support (he was so nervous last year he wouldn’t let them come to the show!!!), Mum & Dad, Sister, Brother-in-Law and a few friends.
It was also a bit of a reunion for Mike (Guitar) when one of Jon P’s (Trumpet) mates turned out to be an ex work colleague of his from years ago… small world.
This was Neil’s (Sax) first gig with us since his marriage to Emma in May this year. He’s certainly a changed man, we have never seen him cavorting around the stage and dancing with such exuberance before. As the quiet man of the band it was great to see, but pleased to say his musical notes on Saxophone were as tasteful as always… thankfully no changes there.
Alan (the man with the Mirror) tried once again to throw Pete off his guard with the reflection in the mirror, it hasn’t worked…. Yet!
All in all we had a great night. Thanks to all of you for coming and making feel us feel so welcome, and it was lovely to meet many of you in the bar afterwards.
See you next year !
