Cheshire Shows & Line-up Changes
A big thank you for all the support given to us in Cheshire over the weekend.
Particularly those who despite the dire weather forecast of rain, came to our open air show at Gawsworth Hall. As it turned out, it actually wasn’t too bad, apart from a light shower during the aptly titled ‘I Wish It Would Rain Down’, the weather was kind to us, enabling dancing on the lawns by some of the more enthusiastic patrons.
This ancient Manor House has to be the most stunning backdrop to a stage on which we have ever performed. Words alone will not do it justice so please take a look at the pictures below.
Another first for us was the ‘art-deco’ styled Plaza Theatre in Stockport. Such a lovely theatre and currently being restored to her original glory of the 1930’s. We were thrilled to see our name up in lights over the front entrance of the theatre, along with great support from the theatre staff during our set-up and receiving such warm applause from those who came to the show, we hope for another illuminating return next year.
An extra big thank you goes to Chris Lloyd and Peter Anderson from Talon, The Best Of Eagles for organising both these terrific shows as part of this year’s tour. We are truly knocked out by their support and enthusiasm as well their investment in our production and marketing. Their commitment to high quality is an inspiration for us all.
Having completed the 2011 tour listing for us Chris is already working on our Both Sides Tour for 2012, so keep an eye on our web site for more news!
‘And Finally' are indebted for all the wonderful comments made to us after the shows by many of you, including those who noticed changes in the bands personnel.
Our line-up is basically the same as for the end of 2010, with newcomers Julie Storey and Alan Phillips joining us on backing vocals. Due to other musical commitments our long suffering keyboard player Steve can’t make all of the shows on this tour, so we are very pleased to have Chris Woods with us when Steve is unavailable.
It is also with regret our young bass player Tom has to take a break from the show in order to do the University thing, we shall miss him so much, but he has agreed to do a few guest appearances between his studies, so you may be lucky enough to catch him from time to time. In his place we have secured the services of Paul Pryor (Ruby Turner and Roy Wood’s bass player), such a talent and such a nice bloke too, he really fits into the ‘And Finally’ family.
