SOUND REQUIREMENTS
Introduction
The following sound specification is based on the technical requirements of the artists own PA (where used). If you have any problems, or if any of the items listed below will not be available, please contact our Sound Control Manager named above us as soon as possible at least 1 month prior to the event. (Please note discussions between artist Sound Control Manager and Venue Technical Manager will have taken place immediately following / prior to agreement of artists’ performance at venue with your Operations Manager (or similar) to ensure technical arrangement can be achieved).
Please also look at our web page, www.andfinally-philcollins.co.uk as the technical rider is regularly updated, whereas if you have a paper rider supplied many months before the event it can be out of date.
TECH REQUIREMENTS FOR ARTISTS OWN PA:
· Power for the FOH and stage monitor system needs to be either from 32 amp single phase, or from double sockets on 30amp mains ring circuit. This power needs to be available at or near the amp rack, behind speaker stack on same side as the multi core reel will be fed from. (We have extensions for both 32amp Ceeform or 13/16amp lines if needed)
- A third 16/13 amp socket ON THE SAME MAINS POWER PHASE is required for the backline
· The multi-core length is 45m maximum, and includes a mains supply derived from the amp rack.
· FOH mix position should be a flat floor area of approximately 2.1 metres width by 1.5 metres depth, and ideally positioned centred of the L & R speakers, about halfway between front and rear of the house, forming an equilateral triangle, with the speaker enclosures and the mix position at the apexes, with line-of-sight between speakers and control position. In the event that venue is only able to supply a flat table (such as over fixed seating) the floor standing 19” rack must be able to sit either side of the desk position (at 90 degrees to the mixing desk). A stool or chair should also be provided for operator.
The position of the sound console is of utmost importance, and control rooms, booths etc., are unacceptable for this purpose.
· FOH loudspeakers are EAW KF750 series....positioned either on or off stage depending on projection angles. We also use a centre fill when needed on wider stages which sits on a platform directly in front of the stage.
